A Core Values event not to forget...

Our Core Value Awards on 13th May 2015 was a night of nights, where our people together celebrated the valuable work they do to uphold our two business Core Values of Safety and Customer every day.

Employees and special guests were all captivated hearing from former employee Nigel Smith and the journey his life has taken since he suffered an accident on-site at Newcastle in 1993. A fitting guest speaker, on behalf of WorkCover NSW, Nigel reminded the room why our Core Value of Safety is so very important to our business and why we must continue to put it first.

Other highlights of the night included National Logistics Manager Geoff Armstrong named the 2015 Wayne Parsons Award winner, presented by General Manager Richard Clement, and also Sue and Charlotte Parsons. Event hosts Darren Newbegin and Ross Williams did a fabulous job and our special performance was an original song about our Goal Zero Ambassador - Zero. We welcomed special guests our CEO Naomi James, Arrium Safety GM Stephen Elliott and WorkCover Northern Region Community Relationship Officer, Jeremy Whyte. Well done to our winners and our finalists who lead by example and showcase what it means to uphold our Core Values in everything we do. Our 10 winners will each donate $500 to the charity of their choice, showing we are proud to give back to the communities in which we operate.
