Affiliations and Accreditations

As a well-known and credible steel manufacturer, Austube Mills and parent company InfraBuild are active participants in Australian steel industry groups. Our affiliations include:

Accreditation

Our Quality and Compliance processes are an essential part of what we do at Austube Mills. These processes are independently accredited.

What is accreditation and why is it important?

Accreditation formally recognises that we meet an authorised third-party's manufacturing standards.

Manufacturing steel products requires highly controlled inputs and processes to ensure the end products are safe, strong and reliable. Our products are manufactured to the highest level of Australian/New Zealand Standards to give you the confidence you have the right steel pipe and tube for the job at hand.

Our ACRS and NATA accreditation guarantees:

  • Independent testing free from any commercial interests or influence.
  • You get the most up-to-date safety and testing measures.
  • The products you use are safe, strong and reliable.
  • Your peace of mind that you’re buying quality structural steel products made to Australian/New Zealand Standards, backed by multiple independent industry bodies.

Who are we accredited by?

ACRS

ACRS is a credible, independent body that undertakes third-party certification of mills supplying AS/NZS 1163 products. It is recognised by the Joint Accreditation System for Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ). Visit the ACRS website.

This means:

  • All of our sites are assessed annually.
  • Our sites undergo quarterly surveillance of production data.
  • This certification body fulfils international benchmarks required by the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
  • ACRS assessors, auditors and management are experienced professionals with extensive experience in steel manufacture, supply, design and construction.

NATA

NATA was formed in 1947 and is a not-for-profit organisation owned and governed by its members and representatives from industry, government and professional bodies. Visit the NATA website.

This means:

  • It is formally recognised that we produce reliable technical results.
  • Regular assessment of our sites.
  • Our sites' competence is based on the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
  • To determine whether we meet the criteria, NATA looks at:
  • The qualifications, training and expertise of our staff.
  • Our quality assurance procedures.
  • Whether our equipment is correct and properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Accreditation is based on a peer-review process from more than 3,000 volunteer experts who assist with the assessment of facilities, and sit on NATA's various technical committees.
